For the little bit I used ON1 I found it intuitive and responsive.ĭefault settings used on both, but "Smart Lighting" applied in DxO. I am not familiar with the program and therefore only applied the AUTO setting with the "Develop" button. I installed the 30 days free trial and ran a few RW2 FZ2500 files.
Since I was considering the DxO upgrade I came across the latest version of ON1 Photo Raw 2017 and was curious how that would compare. Normally I would just run a batch and just walk away to do something else. Of course, that depends on computer hardware and my setup could use an update.
Exporting converted files takes 10-15 seconds each, unless you applied PRIME noise reduction and the same file may still take 80 seconds.
Version 11.4 loads quicker compared to the painfully slow process of the previous version. Also, no such module is listed under 'Installed Optics Pro modules'. No problem converting FZ2500 RW2 files even though there is a reminder that '1 suitable DxO Optics Module is available for download', but actually there is no FZ2500 module to download. I am considering upgrading my DxO software so I can use it with my new camera so I downloaded the trial version.
